I was using this phone now for two months, here are my thoughts: + very good camera, lens do not stick out outside of the camera body, pictures without flash can be take with various depth (focus) user interface is very very good - simple and clever - multiple customization options if you want - very user friendly processor/RAM - so far so good fingerprinting/smart key - this is programmable - so you not only fingerprint but also you can press the sensor and trigger various actions e.g. NFC or screenshot taking - I have company e-mail requiring password protection and the location of the fingerprint sensor is PERFECT!
Don't even compare with Samsung.... Honor 8 got it right - and it's fast! great screen/size very good battery life - super fast charging nice screen mirroring NFC - this works but only when you open Android Pay app Very good headphones - free bit that is very good actually - Price - seems to be a bit expensive... if it was £100 cheaper it would be brilliant!
No Gorilla glass Dual SIM but if you want second SIM you need to remove SD card... :-( youg3 05/01/2017 Incredible Device (so far) with an amazing customer service experience So, I was waiting for the price of this handset to come down a little but luckily Black Friday, a USA mental breakdown for sales, made its way to the vmall site and I wanted one. A bit of a hiccup was the Sapphire Blue was out of stock. Communicated with the sales team, a member called 'Teddy' helped from start to finish and, after a little wait my device was dispatched and arrived promptly.
Now to the device. It has been fantastic, though at first, small UI pains as I moved from Windows Phone to Android though EMUI 4.1 isn't stock and shares some design ques from iOS, I've grown used to it. Hardware wise, I'm still playing with it, but so far, no complaints and I am one satisfied customer!

But it handles like a bar of soap. Reviews rave about the design, but it's almost impossible to hold. Finally I have received the official honor 8 flip case. What a disappointment.
Was expensive but feels cheap and nasty. It doesn't even stay fully closed.
The flip cover for the honor 7 was much better quality, better materials and also a very clever and well-weighted cover. And the phone felt more solid.
