That all said I would still very much highly recommend this phone having lived with it for a while now and here's why...First and foremost it's quick and responsive, running multiple apps and programs the phone didn't falter once and was a pleasure to use. I tend to use my phone largely for email, running a few apps, playing basic games and also watching videos and it coped with all of this absolutely no problem. The battery life is absolutely fantastic, but I am noticing this is a huge improvement in recent months generally with the new phones I am using, all are lasting roughly 2 days without the need for charge from average use - which is literally twice as good as the phones I was using just 6 months ago. Very impressive.
Note this battery life is from 'average' use, so checking of email and web browsing occasionally. This would of course not be as good if I was constantly on the phone either on a call or watching video.
The 5 inch IPS screen offers excellent viewing angles and clarity as well as really vibrant colours. As mentioned in my intro paragraph, I do find the phone just a little bulky.
I recently tested another phone with a 5 inch screen and it was much more compact, but didn't have the hardware button which some users will prefer but personally I have got very used to not having this. I also have a 5. I opted for the phone in white and really like how it looks - if you like the images on this page you will be pleased with the shiny sleek phone you receive in person for sure.What shines for me with this phone really is the camera, I use mine a lot for work and it's often a frustration of mine but happy to report that's not at all the case with this one; responsive auto-focus and very clear.The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop installed; it would be nice to see the latest version of Android running on this device (currently Android 6 Marshmallow), but I think at this price point that’s probably a bit much to ask and there are other similar priced devices out there still offering version 4.4.All in all I think if you like the look of the phone you'll be very pleased with the performance of this phone as I was very impressed indeed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it highly. }">Read more › Colour: Black I bought a white Xtouch for £130 in May 2016.The Bluboo Xtouch was an amazing phone which I was showing off. The camera took good pictures, the battery lasted a day and the phone looked good. The storage has remained more than enough and it has never been slow (ignoring the heating issues). However, after a few weeks of normal use, the phone's performance got worse, namely the fingerprint sensor burning up (it got so hot that you couldn't touch it) at school. I turned the phone off for a few hours and when I turned it back on, the scanner didn't work anymore.
Then the camera quality started to decline. The photos take around 3 seconds to capture and are blurry anyway. I tried messaging Bluboo's warranty email address (multiple times) but I was just ignored.
As well as these problems, the phone was getting really hot so I decided to install a (one out of three) custom ROM since I didn't really have a warranty, which did solve the heating. The heat also seemed to melt/weaken the plastic on the back which resulted in grey areas where the paint had rubbed off. The back also developed many small scratches. The screen also cracked after dropping it onto carpet.
The speakers are really bad and the phone hardly gets any signal where I am. The battery did perform almost the same as new after installing Greenify. If you've been persuaded by my review to not buy this product, but still want a cheap handset, I recommend that you look at better known brands like Wileyfox or even Meizu.However, if you continue to ignore these negative reviews, like I did, I recommend that you purchase the black model as there is a really thick (2mm) black border around the screen which is especially apparent on the white model.
