If you didn't know it was here you'd walk right past it, I know I have, but I'm SO HAPPY I found this place! They treat repeat customers like family and offer discounts if you come back to them regularly. They have snacks and movies while you wait! Superior customer service. Screen repair, charger ports, data extraction, water damage, honestly ANY ISSUE you may be having with your phone they will take care of you. Quality service, great prices, and fast service.
They even have a mobile cell phone repair service where they will come to you! Also, if you check in you get a free case! Perfect. I used the website to book a mobile appointment for about an hour and a half later that day (11:30am). "You're booked! " the website said and told me someone would be contacting me shortly.
About five minutes later I got an email asking about what kind of work I needed (a new iPhone battery), then quoted me a price of $85 + a $20 home service fee. I was in a time crunch, so I kept asking the person who emailed me if they could make the scheduled time. Finally after a couple more emails they told me they definitely couldn't make the appointment time and that they didn't service my area maybe? That last part wasn't super clear.
They offered a discounted rate for the next day, but my phone was dying and couldn't wait. It's a pet peeve of mine when a business has scheduling/reservation tools like that - you think you're making a confirmed appointment only to be told "just kidding! This form you filled out doesn't mean anything.
" If the online booking system doesn't actually reflect availability/service area, don't use it! Or at least call it an "appointment request" or something. Otherwise you're being dishonest.
I scrapped the mobile service idea and went to another spot. The total damage was $60. Which means - even if you don't count the $20 home service fee - this place is definitely not the "cheapest. " EDIT: messaged this to the business but I'm posting this here too. Thanks for the quick and sort of condescending response, Brian, but again - if you can't guarantee the time booked online, present it that way. Literally, the website says "book it" when you click the appointment time. Call it a request or add a big, obvious disclaimer that you can't guarantee that appointment until a tech reviews your order.
Otherwise you're wasting our time. Poor quality. I trusted this place because they had good reviews, and I thought they were great, but a few months after I got my screen and battery replaced, the screen starting popping off and ultimately stopped functioning completely. I had to buy an entirely new phone.
Would not go here again Back again as satisfied customer. These guys were dependable, friendly and fast. Grabbed a sandwich at Subway downstairs during lunch and barely watched part of a James Bond and done. Another time, had fun watching another movie with some snacks and repairs were completed. Easy going experienced guys. Try them. Don't do it!!! Horrible quality.
No only did they not put my new screen n correctly it dose not not have good resolution. And whatever they did makes my screen flip out every now and then blinking and blacking out my screen.
It's horrible! No reason to even go back to have them replace it for what?! Horrible!!!
PLEASE BE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY USE FAKE PARTS AND YOU WON't BE ABLE TO GO TO APPLE STORE TO FIX IT ANYMORE. I fixed my iPhone screen here, and they said it was a real part. However, it turned out it wasn't. The screen came off again now I cannot even go to apple store... They charged me a lot too..? I came here to fix my iPhone 6 because the screen was cracked.
I got to admit they had a nice clean waiting room and a movie playing for their customers. They were also very nice people.
Of course, I was happy because my iPhone was fixed. But about about two weeks later the display of my iPhone screen started messing up again. White lines were appearing, apps would open by themselves.
So I took it somewhere else where a different person can have a look at it. They said whoever fixed my iphone DID NOT place thee screen right. My screen was popping out. You could see it from the side. I was disappointed because at the beginning I was so satisfied to come out with a fixed iPhone, but now that it had returned damaged I was upset because I paid over $100 for no reason.
Once again I shattered my phone's screen and needed a quick repair. This time it was an iPhone 6 Plus that was damaged so I brought it back to my favorite phone repair shop. Service was quick, like 10 or 15 minutes, and very professional. I watched tv and had some water in the waiting area while the repair was taking place.
Afterward a tech went through a diagnostic check to make sure everything was working correctly correctly. They also offer a 30 day limited warranty on their work. I paid $130 which included tax. I had gotten quotes for about the same price elsewhere so I'm pretty sure this is the going rate. I am really satisfied with this repair, and I will be back in case I crack my screen again. I waited a long time for this review in part because they are not by a long shot the "cheapest".
I will live through a dysfunctional iPhone battery dying on me at 30% than to pay for their "discounted" rate of $40 to install a battery I bought on eBay for $5. I keep telling myself I'll learn how to do it myself. So I will hopefully live to see the day that own hands will serve as the "cheapest" iPhone repair around. It inspires me to one day help see a co-op start, where people help each other fix their iPhones, like fixing bicycles.
But for now, desperate people like me will shell out hundreds of dollars for the replacement of a four inch of piece of glass. I've certainly seen enough people open and close and open and close my screen to not feel too unfamiliar with the procedure. It's not brain surgery, not really.
What I like about this place is that no other cheaper place has the expertise that "cheapest" does - at least the level of expertise of the one guy who is in charge of this place has. The manager or owner, I don't remember his name, knows his sh*t and is willing to take his time to troubleshoot any problems with me. This is what he's done for me: In mid 2015, my IOS updated and my phone's sound and ringer would not start up. He worked on my phone for 40 minutes and tried to reinstall new sound equipment. Nothing worked, but somehow this long duration of trying to help me out seemed to fix the problem within an hour of him handing me back my phone.
He didn't charge me. The second time, my iPhone screen broke and the screw was stripped on the bottom of it. The repair shop on Melrose didn't help me out and blamed me for the problem. I called this place and they said it was easy to fix - just break off the already broken screen and fix it that way. He did it and repaired it. Their quoted $100 to fix an iPhone 5 screen or -gulp- $140 to fix iPhone 6 screen - is really damn high, and they seem to know it as I have seen people get $20 discounts by mentioning "some place around the corner" that does it cheaper.
I just took the $5 off Yelp one. They've since helped me out without charging to fix a minor issue with the screen, troubleshooting, time and all. It was really fast and Convenient I came here just to see how much they would pay for an iPhone 5C and they offered me $15 so i'll take this since the LCD, Logic Board Is Broken Free Water and chips for everybody in the shop ! One of our lcd screen had issues and it being a Sunday, this was the closest location we could find that was open. We were quoted $250 bucks and on top of that, they tried to add tax to the full amount. Tax should only be added to the parts (not the labor) so we asked them for the break down of how much they were charging for parts and for labor.
They were stuttering, not knowing how to answer. In the future, I will stay away. I am not sure how this place has 5 stars!
Fast and easy. They have bumpers and adapters in stock too. They also install good screen protectors. Hopefully I don't have to come back in near future but ya you got me. P.S. I'm back to update the review. My phone is iPhone 6, and I bought the adapter from them after the screen got fixed.
Cuz usually I use my iPad adapter to charge my phone, the adapter I bought from them did not work. I kept the adapter cuz I can at least use the cord. We all know 6 and above needs stronger power. I thought it's not their problem, until even my friend with lower edition of iPhone borrowed and found it still didn't work well. Meh. Before you want to get anything done, you have to fill out a form with your phone number and carrier, and do electronic sign of reliability blah. The Yelp rating is among their promo and they will write down your Yelp ID. I'm not sure if it's another reason high rates are loaded here, but yes the screen fixing work itself was not bad. But my purchase did influence their reliability credit. WARNING !!
It's much cheaper to have Apple Store replace your screen than these rip offs and Apple provides warranty these guys use fake Chinese aftermarket screens you will continue to have issues with. WARNING ! Where do I start?
OK so my note 4 screen had cracked months ago. It was only the glass and to be honest it didn't bother me because you couldn't really tell and everything worked great. Only reason I had to get it fixed was because I wanted to upgrade and would have to return the phone to t-mobile and they would charge a deductible of $175. So I found this place because of the reviews. My husband and I headed over and find the place yesterday .
We head up to the office and im quoted $120 and it would take about 3 to 4 hrs. Honestly the wait time hurt more because I would be without a phone for that long. So we decide to leave it. They made sure to check that the LCD was not damaged which it wasn't and everything worked properly. Customer service is good. They do have complimentary snacks and even played inside out since we had our kids with us. About 10 minutes sitting there, a tech guy comes and tells me that there's a 9 out of 10 change that while removing the glass it may damage the LCD screen and the price would go up. That's where I should have walked away but I didn't. I tend to be that 1% in all cases.
I said ok. Then I'm thinking why wasn't this brought up to me before I actually decided to have them work on it? So we head out to get pizza next door and we get a call from one of the tech guys saying that while removing the glass my LCD messed up and now I would have to pay $200 (originally $240 but they offered me a "discount" on a mistake they made) and they said it would only be 25 minutes after that. After telling myself I should have walked away my husband just went to pick up the phone and paid. Eventually I got over it after I got my phone. I'm to blame as well as I could have walked away. Here's where I really got pissed.
I'm on snapchat using my self in cam and OMG does it look blurry and foggy. It did not look like that before I took it. I'm telling u my phone worked perfectly.
I was livid!!! I went to t-mobile that same day and upgraded.
I wasn't planning on it until maybe next month but I couldn't be happy with that phone anymore. Spent $350 yesterday on my note 4 and upgrading to the note 5. And it hurt more that I had put in $200 on that phone and just gave it up the same day. I was planning on keeping it for another month.
I hope you do not experience what I did. Won't come back. It will bring back memories of that day. It's never fun to broke its phone but at least you do feel better when you deal with nice and competent people. They fixed my phone within 20 minutes and I watch the entire thing.
They broke down the price so it made sense and above all they were very gentle. I highly recommend this place. :) these scumbags are a bunch of lying thieves.
i had my iphone screen replaced 3 months ago, and my case was cracked and bent. All they did was replace the screen. This morning, my screen went black on the bottom 2/3. they said bc my case was bent i needed a new lcd and "my screen was faulty." my screen was bent 3 months ago, and there was no mentioning of a new lcd. also, if my screen is faulty, that's your fault not mine. you installed it. for the record, i have not dropped my phone since I replaced the screen.
i trusted these guys to fix my phone 3 months ago, and now because im outside the 30 day warranty, i have to pay for the replacement. SCAM ARTISTS Was referred here by a friend whose screen cracked the week prior. I also sent another friend here the day before I went in to get mine done, and they fixed my iphone 6 screen in 15 minutes, fed me and gave me water.
Clean, friendly, reliable, and close! Oh, and THE cheapest I found in DTLA after researching/calling around for a few days. Definitely worth stopping in. My phone looks new. These guys are super cool. Would definitely go back again if ever needed (though, they gave me a glass screen protector, so hopefully, I won't need to any time soon!) These guys suck I'm sure they are good at their job but I think they are very unprofessional I traveled an hour to get my screen fixed and spoke with someone on the phone before I went out there....
I show up and the guy tells me he doesn't have the premium version of my screen in stock and offered me some knock off version that may not work "as well" as he explained to me.... very rude and why would you waste someone's time? Especially if they called prior. Simply EXCELLENT service!!! These guys know what they're doing, are honest, work QUICKLY and the quality is absolutely 5 stars!!
They replaced my cracked screen in 10 minutes and checked to make sure nothing else was broken. I went to Apple's Genius Bar the last time my phone had issues. It was an hour+ wait WITH an appointment!
Ridiculous! Amazing!!! They quickly repaired my phone and gave me a case. Best around!

We hope we can provide some clarity regarding this matter.
On 2/19/17 you had scheduled an appointment at 10:19AM for 11:30AM through our online booking request system. All customers will receive an email that your appointment has been scheduled and that a CIR technician will contact you shortly to discuss details of the repair, cost and time. This simply means you have been slotted for that time period per your request. A CIR technician will then contact you via phone or email with regards to your appointment request and in that communication will advise that until certain details are provided, only then will the actual appointment be ‘confirmed’.
We always require our mobile technicians to confirm the actual appointment with the customer due to prior scheduling conflicts, potential distance issue (since we cover the entire west county of Los Angeles), pricing and potential repair time.Unfortunately, for the date and time you requested of 2/19/17 at 11:30AM, due to scheduling conflicts and prior customer repair, the technician closest to you would not have been able to make it by the time you requested. The repair prior to you, there were some delays which required the technician to spend some extra time there. Therefore since you advised the technician you had to have it done by that certain time and before 12:30PM, they respectfully had to advise you they would not be able to confirm that appointment request.
We understand that you needed that appointment confirmed for that time, but we did offer an alternative repair time and also at a discounted price due to the inconvenience. However since you did not respond to the technician from the last email, the technician had to believe you had found an alternative.
We are glad you were able to find an alternative and again apologize that we couldn’t commit to your request. We hope you understand that sometimes our mobile technicians cannot confirm all of the requested appointment times due to multiple factors such as distance from previous appointment, delays in repair, and customer requirements. At CIR, honesty is our policy and we are proud to say that outside of Apple, you will not find a more reputable repair shop around.

All of our staffs are trained to take the time to specifically advise customers of the different choices of screens available to them. Generic v.s Non Generic All repairs (excluding Generic replacement screens) comes with a 30 day warranty as long as their is no physical or water damage. We do understand that sometimes customers are just looking for the cheapest repair without concerns for quality as they are returning their phones to the phone carriers for example and only in those cases would we suggest to use generic screens.
These lower quality generic replacement screens however comes with no warranty, which is why we do not recommend but we do offer so that we can satisfy all of our customers needs. If in fact you were a customer and did get a replacement but chose the lower quality Generic screen unfortunately we would not be able to apply a warranty since we did inform you about the difference in price ,the difference in quality and warranty before hand.
