Which to buy? O.P. smudger writes... Do you think its a worthy replacement for a nexus device?
Nexus 4 in my case. don't have any experience with N4 but I suspect that's rather dated and any decent recent phone would be a replacement for that ;) the Xtouch certainly wouldn't be a replacement for a N5 though as it's very smooth (UI experience wise) and has v. good screen. how much are the new redmi note 3 these days? if it's same price as Xtouch maybe go with that, is it's more then the Xtouch is definitely more of a bargain.
you can buy locked Optus/Telstra/Vodafone phones for around $150 but they are rubbish when you compare it with a $200 chinadroid like Xtouch. O.P. muffie writes...
Some reviews noted build quality issues with the Bluboo. as I mentioned earlier, didn't find any build quality issues with mine, it looks straight and smooth at the spots that was mentioned as having build quality issues in one of the reviews I linked earlier.

Aluminium and glass on the front and sides feel and look fantastic. However the thin plastic on the rear of the phone ruins the feel for me. Makes the device feel cheap regardless of the aluminium frame. Has a bit of give to it too (can press it in with your finger).
Other thing I've noticed is it just feels massive for a 5 inch screen device. Compared to the Xiaomi Mi4C that I have been using as a daily driver, this thing feels massive. Think the major reason are the top and bottom bezels are quite large, and the screen has an annoying black edge around the entire display.
So you have Screen Black Surround Bezels. Fingerprint scanner works well, and the software feels quick.
No bloatware, and a very light skin has been applied with some nice looking icons. Camera is so so. Takes pretty nice photos, but shutter speed is slow, and exposure is weird when you try and auto focus on a particular object. After two weeks wait for my Bluboo Xtouch from TomTop (I'd never deal with them again), and a PayPal dispute it looks like TomTop will refund my money.
Firstly they said I could change the order, and when I agreed, they stopped communication altogether. When PayPal came into the act, the same day they e-mailed me saying they had stock and would ship if that was OK. I e-mailed them back and told them to go ahead and ship. I then heard nothing for a day, then they e-mailed me to say they were refunding my money back onto my PayPal account.
It still shows "Processing", although on their site it shows "in stock". This was the first time I have dealt with them, and it will be the last. As soon as the money goes back onto my account, I want to buy from somewhere else. Can anyone recommend a good "honest" Chinese company. Unfortunately my favourite company Chinavasion don't carry them. At least not to my knowledge.

I didn't like the rear material, felt flimsy and plastic, and I hated the black border around the display. It's also a big phone.
It's bigger than the 5.2" Nexus 5X and Galaxy S6 antigravity writes... I didn't like the rear material, felt flimsy and plastic, and I hated the black border around the display. Well they arrived safe and sound.
In the box was of course the phones, wall charger with USB, USB lead, and a screen protector installed, plus an instruction manual, for all the good that does. Also included was AUS adapters. Bought from Chinavasion. So far, I have found the build of the phones quite strong.
I saw the U tube review where they said you could push in the plastic back on the phone, as it is quite spungy, but TBH ours feel quite firm. The battery is built in so the back can not be removed. They supply a pin type gadget to remove the SD and SIM card cradle, but a finger nail does the job quite well. It takes a little practice to get the SD and SIM cards in correctly, but with a little patience it is OK. The actual USB slot can be a bit dicey, but once again it's just a matter of being a little careful.E-mails and apps very easy to install.
The screen is very brilliant and sharp, in fact I think it is probably the best screen I've ever had. GPS is very fast at locking on, and quite accurate. As far as the black border goes around the screen, it actually breaks the screen away from the phone edge, and ours being white phones, I don't mind it. But once again it only a personal thing.
The speaker phone works well, and phone calls are sharp and strong. The only thing I don't get the hang of is the Finger-print scanner.
I have scanned in two prints, but don't know what to do with them, and what they are supposed to open.If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be great. So far I have had no dropped calls or ringtones.
The "Home Button" at the bottom of the phone is actually a manual button, not just a touch button. We can set our ringtones on the phones for when I call my Wife or she calls me, so we know who it is.The camera seems to work very well, with great pictures.
The cameras don't worry me so much as we have good Panasonic cameras anyway. All in all, so far it is a very good phone. If asked would I buy another one, at this stage I most certainly would.
Hope this helps someone. If you want to know any more, just Whim me. If you then press the home button, you appear to be in recovery mode and it says that the zip file is wrong.Anyone else had a problem with this update? OK. After having the Bluboo xtouch now for a couple of weeks and playing around with it and using it for more serious work, it has been fantastic.
Only one small glitch. I put it on charge each night next to my bed. The other morning when I took it off charge and turned it on, it got stuck on the opening logo. I couldn't do a thing with it. I got immediately onto "Live Chat" with Chinavasion, and the guy helped me as much as he could, but said he would escalate the problem onto their higher technicians and they could help me, within 2 days. When I finished live chat, I decided to try out a couple of things. Easy when you know how! A couple of buttons I pushed in sequence did the trick.
