Компания Cubot за последние месяцы представила сразу несколько интересных новинок, последней из которых стал «долгоиграющий» смартфон под названием H1, получивший аккумулятор с емкостью 5200 мАч. Все эти модели отличаются не только довольно гуманным ценником, но и прекрасным дизайном, ставшим в этом году основной «фишкой» этого производителя. И сегодня мы хотим вам представить еще одну интересную новинку компании Cubot, внешний вид которой не оставит равнодушным ни одного читателя. Этот смартфон получил название Cubot P11.Сразу оговоримся, что смартфон CubotP11 представляет сегмент устройств начального уровня, и с учетом его цены всего в $85 многие из вас уже могли бы махнуть рукой в разочаровании. Но вы будете очень удивлены, узнав, что за устройство вы получаете за такие деньги.

Во-первых, дизайн модели P11 не позволит обойти вниманием эту новинку, где бы вы ее ни увидели. Лицевая панель устройства практически полностью покрыта защитным стеклом, а поля под дисплеем и над ним выкрашены в черный цвет, благодаря чему в выключенном состоянии создается иллюзия того, что экран у этого смартфона просто огромный.

По периметру лицевая панель защищена металлической рамкой, которая сверху и снизу чуть шире, чем по краям. Это обрамление придает внешнему виду Cubot P11 неповторимый и изящный облик. Но если вы посмотрите на заднюю панель корпуса этого смартфона, то удержаться от возгласа «Вау!» будет и вовсе невозможно.

На нее поверхность нанесена текстура в виде неправильных треугольников разного размера, внутри каждого из которых нанесены линии под разными углами. Благодаря этому приему узор на задней панели корпуса кажется объемным и будто бы переливается и блестит гранями алмазов. Идея с треугольниками не нова, и ее впервые мы увидели в смартфонах Oppo R1X и Oppo Mirror 5, а позднее и в ElephoneS2 и S2 Plus. Но компания Cubot пошла дальше и довела эту идею практически до совершенства.

Во-вторых, несмотря на низкий ценник, смартфон Cubot P11 получил отличный 5-дюймовый дисплей с разрешением 720p, а не qHD, как у многих других устройств начального уровня. Кроме того, здесь использована отличная матрица с широким диапазоном отображаемых цветов, высокой яркостью и невероятным значением контрастности.

Процессор в смартфоне Cubot P11 не отличается высокой производительностью, хотя на $85 ожидать такой щедрости было бы сверх меры. Здесь установлен 4-ядерный MT6580 с тактовой частотой ядер Cortex-A7 1.3 ГГц. По сути, это усовершенствованная и более эффективная версия популярного в прошлые годы чипа MT6582. Новинка также получила вполне традиционные для своего сегмента и объемы оперативной и встроенной памяти, которые составили 1 ГБ и 8 ГБ соответственно.

А емкость аккумулятора ввиду малой толщины корпуса всего в7.9 ммтоже нельзя назвать впечатляющей, поскольку она составила всего 2200 мАч. Зато встроенные в Cubot P11 камеры вполне могут удивить. Тыльная камера получила разрешение 13 Мп, автоматическую фокусировку и 4 линзы с апертурой F/2.0, а фронтальная при этом получила разрешение 5 Мп, которое можно увеличить программно до 8 Мп.Смартфон Cubot P11 ввиду своего процессора не поддерживает сети стандарта 4G LTE, но при этом получил операционную систему Android 5.1 Lollipop, поддержку смарт-функций, а также функций HotKnot и OTG. Таким образом, в смартфоне Cubot P11 вы найдете гораздо больше привлекательного для себя, чем в любом другом устройстве начального уровня.

Oggi vi recensiamo un telefono di casa Cubot, il Cubot P11, dispositivo appartenente alla fascia bassa del mercato ma dal prezzo contenuto (meno di 80 euro). Indicato per chi cerca un secondo telefono economico o chi ne fa ha un'utilizzo blando. Abbiamo un processore Mediatek quad core mtk6580 da 1.3 Ghz, 1 Gb di Ram ed 8 Gb di ROM e manca il supporto 4G. Vediamo come si è comportato!La confezione si presenta di forma classica con un fondo di colore oro/bruno e lo stemma Cubot in argento. Sotto troviamo gli IMEI e dietro le caratteristiche tecniche.

All'interno ci sono: Il telefono (ben impacchettato), una cover rigida trasparente, manualetto veloce, pellicola di scorta (una è applicata), caricabatterie USB da 1Ah e cavo usb/micro usb.Il design è molto classico con la parte anteriore formata da una cornice nera (che comprende lo schermo) chiusa da un bordo cromato. La parte posteriore invece mostra una texture a triangoli vedo e non vedo di moderna concezione, che può piacere o meno ma si fà notare. Il motivo a triangoli infatti si vede o non si vede in base alle inclinazioni cui si mette il telefono.

I materiali con cui è realizzato sono interamente in plastica di discreta fattura e la costruzione è buona (la back cover è difficile da togliere anche se in plastica). Il telefono è molto leggero e nella back cover non rimangono molte impronte (cosa buona) però la texture lo rende leggermente scivoloso.

Appartenente alla fascia bassa del mercato (entry level) non supporta le reti 4G ma arriviamo al 3G. A bordo è presente un processore a 32 bit Mediatek 6580 quad-core da 1.3 Ghz di clock, 1Gb di RAM ed 8 Gb di memoria tutta in un blocco unico. Memoria espandibile tramite micro sd fino a 32gb. Note negative la mancanza del led di notifca ed i tasti che in questo caso sono completamente invisibili, vi troverete infatti a volte di andare a "tentoni". Tutti i connettori( presa micro usb, jack e schede sim ed sd) sono ben assemblati e funzionanti.

Passiamo ai sensori (luce,prossimità,accelerometro) che hanno una taratura buona e funzionano a dovere. E' presente anche la radio. Lo speaker posteriore ha un volume elevato però manca di bassi e non è nitidissimo.

Cosa curiosa,ha un piccolo gradino nel lato che in caso di appoggio su superfici lisce non lo fanno attutire del tutto. Il sorround è da evitare in quanto causa una notevole storpiatura ed il suono già non chiarissimo ne risente. Il calore è praticamente impercettibile.

Il telefono è un dual sim (entrambe micro), con sim principale che supporta il 3g mentre la secondaria rimane in 2g. Il segnale è buono come il bluetooth(4.0) ed il wifi. Lo speaker nella parte telefonica ha un buon volume ma come nella parte multimediale non è del tutto nitido e manca di bassi. Nella capsula auricolare il volume c'è però purtroppo il suono è un pò gracchiante.

Qualche problemino è stato riscontrato con le notifiche ma solo con whatsapp. Cosa che capita frequentemente e risolvibile tenendo semplicemente l'app aperta. Lo smartphone monta posteriormente una camera da 13 Mp (interpolata) ed anteriormente una 8 Mp (interpolata).

Tutte e due con apertura focale f2.0. Le foto in entrambi i casi sono nella media di questa fascia di prezzo e cioè adatte a social e poco altro. In tutte le situazioni le foto appena zummate diventano subito man mano rumorose.

Il flash posto dietro è abbastanza potente e permette foto anche di sera. Anche i video sono discreti,l'audio un pò bassino però. Lo schermo montato è un 5' pollici in definizione HD (1280x720) di discreta qualità con 294 ppi di densità. I colori risultano un pò chiari nella riproduzione anche se i particolari sono ben fatti.

Cosa positiva è presente il miravision che ci permette di settare al meglio lo schermo. Gli angoli di visione sono discreti ed il touch funziona bene ed ha 5 tocchi.

Il Gps fixa abbastanza lentamente (almeno una trentina di secondi) ed il segnale a volte risulta ballerino. Infatti,per esempio, in un percorso di 30 minuti è successo che almeno per 3/4 volte segnasse la posizione da un'altra parte( sempre nelle vicinanze).

Troviamo installata una rom stock e senza personalizzazioni da parte di cubot basata su Android 5.1 lollipop. Il telefono riceve aggiornamenti OTA. L'utilizzo risulta fluido e senza impuntamenti particolari.

I giochi ( come subway surfer) girano senza problemi. At this price there are both hits and misses, which we'll explain in detail in our Cubot P12 review. Upon removing the Cubot P12 from its box we were immediately impressed by its design. You just don't get phones this cheap that look this good. (Well, until now.)The P12 has an aluminium-magnesium metal frame that makes it appear much more expensive than many of its budget plastic rivals, and adds durability to its design.

Sure, there's still some plastic to be found with a removable rear cover, but this is held tight to the phone without feeling flimsy, and gives welcome access to the also-removable 2200mAh lithium-polymer battery, and dual-SIM- and microSD card slots. That's an ideal weight for it to feel substantial in the hand and yet not overly heavy.

With a 5in screen the Cubot is simple to operate in a single hand. The screen is an IPS panel, which offers realistic colours and good viewing angles, with a 1300:1 contrast ratio and 450 nits brightness; it's also fully laminated, and we like the effect this creates. The HD resolution of 720x1280 pixels means it offers a pixel density of 294ppi, which is really not bad at all for a budget phone.

Not only does it match the Vodafone Smart Prime 6, but it's not far off the iPhone's 326ppi. Text is sufficiently clear, and videos and images look good.The screen isn't edge-to-edge, but the bezels are reasonably slim. Below this you'll find touch buttons for Android's usual options, although the Cubot is only a toucher taller than the Vodafone at 143.9mm; the only physical buttons are a volume rocker and power switch on the P12's right edge.At the phone's bottom is a Micro-USB port for charging (we wouldn't expect USB-C at this price), and at the top a 3.5mm headphone jack that you'll likely be more inclined to use than the phone's rear-mounted speaker - despite a small nipple that intends to raise the phone's speaker from a surface, we found sound somewhat muted and slightly muffled even when the speaker wasn't obscured by a palm or a desk. We found it fast enough to navigate and use, and in many respects its spec sheet offers more enjoyable reading than that of the Vodafone Smart Prime 6.Both the Cubot and Vodafone has relatively low-power processors, with the Cubot fitted with a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor and the Vodafone with an also quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU, and each have 1GB of RAM.There wasn't a huge difference between the two in our benchmarks, with the Vodafone taking the upper hand in Geekbench 3 (1401 against the P12's 1186), but the Cubot mastering AnTuTu with 24,807 points against the Smart Prime's 21,842.In our graphics tests the Vodafone took back the lead, scoring 13fps in GFXBench 3's T-Rex component and 6fps in Manhattan. Meanwhile, the Cubot wouldn't run Manhattan and mustered only 4fps in T-Rex. That's not to say you can't play casual games on this phone, just don't expect it to handle anything too intensive. We now use JetStream rather than SunSpider to judge browsing performance, since the latter is no longer actively supported.

However, we did run SunSpider on the P12 so we could more accurately compare it to the Vodafone, since we don't have JetStream scores for the Smart Prime 6.In SunSpider, in which a lower score is better, the Vodafone scored 1301ms, and the Cubot 1726ms. In JetStream, where a higher score is better, the P12 recorded 13.605.In terms of other core hardware, the Cubot wins on storage, with double the Vodafone's 8GB allocation (of which around 5GB is available to the user) with 16GB (of which around 11GB is available). The Cubot's battery is lower in capacity than the Vodafone's, at 2200mAh against 2500mAh, but it is removable, allowing you to swap in a spare (or you could use a power bank). With very similar hardware onboard, battery performance should be just a little lower than that of the Vodafone, which claims to offer 18 hours of talk time - you might just about get two days from it with moderate usage. Connectivity is the one area where the Cubot P12 both shines and disappoints.

It lacks 4G, which is in essence mobile data at Wi-Fi-like speeds. The Vodafone does support 4G, and for only £5 more. If your contract doesn't include 4G or you can't access it in your local area in any case then this might not bother you as much as it does us. You can use any network that supports its frequencies (850/900/1800/1900MHz 2G GSM, 900/1900/2100MHz 3G WCDMA); in fact you can use two, since this is a dual-SIM dual-standby phone (both Micro-SIM). The Cubot P12 is also lacking an IR blaster and NFC (you do get the HotKnot equivalent, although it plays with only other MediaTek-powered phones). It supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS.On paper the Cubot offers a better camera setup than does the Vodafone, which to be fair wouldn't be too difficult to beat with its 2Mp front camera and 5Mp rear camera with LED flash.

Actually, this is using software interpolation; what you really get is 5- and 8Mp cameras, although this is still better than those of the Vodafone. With either phone you'll find support for full-HD video recording and all the usual camera modes and features.

For example, the P12 supports real-time colour filters, a 20-shot burst mode, smile shot, face detection, HDR and more.Our test shots were acceptable for a budget phone, up to the job for the odd snap but not about to replace a proper camera. We found colours to be fine but, as you might expect, detail is fuzzy when you zoom in.In common with the Smart Prime 6 the Cubot runs Android Lollipop; it's not the latest Android operating system, but Marshmallow is not yet widely available to devices other than Google's own Nexus line-up.
